10th IALE World Congress in Milan, Italy

The IALE World Congress in Milan has concluded and it was a tremendous success: Over 950 people attended, representing over 99 countries. Highlights included: Numerous field trips throughout the Piedmont, to the Alps, and to the Mediterranean; exciting plenaries representing landscape ecology perspectives from around the world; numerous simultaneous sessions including over 50 symposia; and the most amazing food ever served at any conference. The Thursday night social featured even more Italian delicacies and a piano recital and lecture by Emanuele Ferrari. Many thanks to our hosts and host institutions who worked tirelessly over the past four years to put together an outstanding program and facilitated our global collaborations and aspirations.

The program can be found here:

We must now already begin to consider our next World Congress in 2023. Would you and your colleagues and chapter like to host the next World Congress? The IALE executive committee has already established a World Congress committee that will assist with every element of planning and will guide you through every step of the process.
