Silent Auction for US-IALE Foreign Scholar Travel Award

DONATIONS: Silent Auction for US-IALE Foreign Scholar Travel Award

Donations needed for silent auction fundraiser at IALE World Congress 2015

It is that time of year again to browse your burgeoning bookshelves and select a few key textbooks that you would like to donate to the US Chapter of the International Association of Landscape Ecologists (US-IALE) Foreign Scholar Travel Award (FSTA) silent auction.

At the IALE World Congress in Portland, OR, July 5-10, the FSTA committee will once again host a silent book auction, the funds of which go toward travel grants to support the attendance of international scientists at next year’s meeting. We have been fortunate to get awesome donations from several publishing companies, but we need YOUR support to fill our silent auction tables! Please help by bringing a couple spare textbooks. There will be a place to drop them off at registration.

If you don’t have any books to spare, then you need to buy something at the silent auction!! Bidding will begin with the opening keynote address on Monday July 6 when this year’s awardees are introduced. Please give a warm Portland welcome to our international colleagues, especially important as US-IALE and the IALE World Congress join forces!
